Over the years, the platform has played a defining role in launching and nurturing some of the country’s most recognised designers, models, and creative professionals.

More than a national event, PNG Fashion Week has evolved into an internationally recognised brand, establishing meaningful partnerships and collaborations with leading regional platforms such as Fiji Fashion Week and the Cairns Indigenous Art Fair. These relationships have strengthened cultural exchange across the Pacific and positioned Papua New Guinea’s fashion industry within a broader global creative dialogue.

The platform has been instrumental in the growth of the country’s creative economy—providing a professional stage for designers, meaningful opportunities for emerging models, and valuable employment pathways for the many professionals who contribute to the events, production, media, and creative sectors.

Today, PNG Fashion Week proudly maintains an active footprint across three of the four regions of Papua New Guinea, with a clear vision to achieve a nationwide presence by the end of 2025. Through this expansion, the platform continues to strengthen the visibility of regional talent and ensure that opportunities within the fashion industry are accessible across the country.
