Linda Pius of Philau Kolxsen Selected for LIFECON Samoa 2027

Papua New Guinean designer Linda Pius of Philau Kolxsen has been selected by LIFECON to participate in its 2027 event in Samoa, marking another milestone in her growing international fashion journey.

Her selection follows a series of showcases that have taken her from PNG Fashion Week to Brisbane and now towards Samoa, where LIFECON will celebrate its tenth anniversary.

Linda’s journey with PNG Fashion Week has seen her develop as a designer, strengthen her creative identity and build confidence in presenting her work. With each collection and runway experience, she has continued to grow, taking Philau Kolxsen from strength to strength.

In 2026, Linda travelled to Brisbane to showcase at Couture in Paradise in May and Paradise Runway in August. These appearances introduced her work to new audiences and connected her with designers, models and creative practitioners beyond Papua New Guinea.

The experiences have formed an important part of her transformation. Presenting collections in different environments has given Linda opportunities to refine her work, develop her presentation and consider how her label can connect with a wider market.

Her selection for LIFECON Samoa 2027 builds on that momentum. Recognition from LIFECON and other international platforms reflects the growing visibility of her work and the opportunities emerging through her continued commitment to fashion.
