PACIFIC+ FASHION SUMMIT 2026

The Pacific Fashion Summit is a platform that brings together designers, entrepreneurs, industry leaders and decision-makers to explore how fashion can create business opportunities, protect cultural heritage and strengthen the Pacific’s creative economy.

Created by PNG Fashion Week, the inaugural Summit was held at APEC Haus, Port Moresby, on 18–19 September 2026, with support from the New Zealand High Commission. Its six panel discussions explored the business of fashion, supply chains, media and storytelling, emotional intelligence, sustainability and youth pathways.

The Summit looks beyond the runway to what designers need to build sustainable businesses—from pricing and protecting their designs to reaching retailers, developing skills and connecting with regional partners.

At its heart, it is about turning Pacific creativity and cultural identity into lasting opportunities for our people.
