GRACE IN BLOOM: INCENNEA MINZ

Shy Girl, Big Dreams: How Incennea Minz Conquered her Fears

18 May, 2025, Port Moresby, PNG – In a region where fashion is rapidly emerging as a platform for cultural identity and creative expression, one name continues to stand out: Incennea Minz. A proud daughter of Papua New Guinea, with roots in East Sepik and New Ireland Province, Minz is now set to represent her country on one of the Pacific’s most prestigious platforms—Fiji Fashion Week 2025, taking place from May 30–31 in Suva.

Minz’s journey into fashion began in 2023 with PNG Fashion Week (PNGFW)—a platform she credits as the launchpad of her career. Initially shy and unsure of her place, she entered the industry with quiet determination. Despite early nerves and self-doubt, it quickly became evident that she possessed not just potential, but presence.

Within a year, Minz had transformed from a nervous newcomer to one of PNG’s most celebrated fashion figures. In 2024, she was named Brand Ambassador and Top Model for PNG Fashion Week, a title that affirmed her growing influence and commitment to using fashion as a vehicle for empowerment.

Her success did not stop at national borders. In 2024, she made her international runway debut in Sydney, capturing attention for her elegance and authenticity. This year, she took part in a high-profile campaign shoot in Brisbane, led by acclaimed Fiji Fashion Week photographer Bau, alongside Pacific modeling talents Clare Akauma and Levi Bird. The collaboration highlighted the region’s shared commitment to elevating Pacific representation on the global fashion stage.

Minz’s meteoric rise underscores the power of fashion as more than aesthetic—it is a tool for storytelling, confidence-building, and cultural diplomacy. Through her work, she champions PNG’s vibrant heritage while also challenging narrow definitions of beauty and success within the modeling world.

Behind the scenes, her path has involved intense discipline, from physical conditioning and nutrition to countless hours in rehearsal and training. Yet, for Minz, the focus is not just on glamour—it is on purpose. She embodies a new generation of Pacific models who are walking with intention, redefining the runway not just as a stage for fashion, but as a space for social change.

With the support of Air Niugini, who continue to empower her journey across borders, Minz’s participation in Fiji Fashion Week 2025 represents more than personal success—it is a symbol of what’s possible for young talent from small nations with big dreams.

As the Pacific fashion community turns its eyes to Suva, Incennea Minz stands as a beacon of resilience, growth, and pride—not just for Papua New Guinea, but for the entire region.
